We are glad to spotlight E-OilÉ | Horizon Europe Project, a Horizon Europe sister project developing safe, sustainable, and biodegradable monodose packaging solutions for oily food and cosmetic products. Bringing together 15 partners from 9 countries, E-OilÉ | Horizon Europe Project addresses the environmental challenges linked to single-use packaging formats that are often difficult to recycle through conventional systems.
The project combines materials science, AI-supported digital modelling, and environmental assessment to develop high-performance biodegradable materials, while also applying Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design principles and valorising olive oil by-products as renewable feedstocks. Through this integrated approach,
E-OilÉ | Horizon Europe Project aims to deliver market-ready packaging solutions that support Europe’s transition to a more circular and low-impact packaging system.
