We are pleased to highlight GRECO Project, one of the sister projects contributing to the transition toward more sustainable packaging solutions in Europe. Funded by Horizon Europe and coordinated by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) , GRECO Project brings together partners from twelve European countries to address major challenges in the bioeconomy and sustainability sectors.

The project is developing new food packaging solutions based on bio-based, biodegradable, and recyclable materials, with a particular focus on PLA-based packaging that meets strict food safety requirements while being easier to recycle or compost. A great example of how European collaboration can support the development of safer and more circular packaging systems.
